Two cultures that respect time: watchmaking and skateboarding. Two series: deck and hardwood.

01What

Two series, two woods

Not every LongHill watch comes from a skateboard — and the ones that do make no secret of it. The raw material decides the design of the piece, so it decides the series too.

Deck Series

Dial and case carved from a retired deck — the coloured layers of ivory wood or maple show in cross-section, with the scars of use. Every cut reveals a different pattern: repetition is impossible.

Hardwood Series

The continuous grain,
chosen by hand

Solid hardwood, selected for the pattern of its grain. No paint, no asphalt scars — the sober piece, for whoever wants the wood speaking alone. Also unique: two blocks never share the same pattern.

02Deck series

This deck became the case of this watch

It is not a process illustration. It is the same wood, at two moments — from the Anti-Hero deck on the router to the wrist.

The case came from the deck. The dial comes another way.

It is made by marquetry: several sheets of coloured wood are glued into a block, and thin slices are cut from that block. Each slice catches the colours at a different angle — no sheet comes out like the one before it, and none repeats afterwards.

That is why two watches from the deck series never share the same dial, even when the cases come from the same deck.

03Why

High-grade Japanese or Swiss quartz movement — precise, discreet, built to last as long as the wood.

That is the part any brand can buy. The case is the part nobody can reproduce — because every cut reveals the layers differently, and the raw material does not repeat.

A wooden watch exists by the hundred. A watch made from a deck that has rolled — sometimes in that bowl, sometimes on the other side of the world, always somewhere that someone can name — exists once.

04Where

Not a factory. It is a workshop in a container house in the middle of the forest, with a concrete bowl in the backyard.

05How

Machined, assembled and finished by hand

One at a time. Numbered. Limited series — when a collection is gone, it is gone.

The wood: Deck series: a retired deck, layers of ivory wood or maple, cut to expose the core. Hardwood series: a solid block, selected for the pattern of its grain.
The heart: High-grade Japanese or Swiss quartz movement.
The finish: Every case is machined, assembled and finished by hand, one at a time. Numbered pieces, in limited series.
Specifications: Case diameter, glass type, strap, water resistance, exact movement reference and price — to be set with the next collection.

06Care

Wood asks for care

It is real wood, not resin imitating it. It keeps breathing, moving with the weather — and it is more fragile than it looks. Treated with a minimum of care, it lasts decades.

Water: It is not waterproof. Not even splash-resistant. Take the watch off before the shower, the pool, the sea and the dishes. If it gets wet, dry it at once with a soft cloth and let it finish drying in the shade — never with a hairdryer or in the sun.
Heat: A closed car in the sun is the worst place in the world for a wooden piece. Car dashboards, the beach, saunas and the area near a stove are no better. Heat and humidity make wood expand and contract.
Chemicals: Perfume, sunscreen, hand sanitiser, moisturiser and cleaning products attack the finish. Put the watch on after applying them, not before.
Impact and weight: The case is wood, not steel. Do not knock it, do not squeeze it, do not store it with weight on top.
Day to day: A dry soft cloth handles the cleaning. A drop of wood oil every few months brings the shine back. Take it off at night: the wood is grateful for the air.
Storing: In a dry, ventilated place, in the case or the pouch. Not the bathroom.
And most important: Wear it, and wear it hard. A LongHill was not made to be stored — it was made to be lived in. The marks of use do not ruin the piece: they are it finishing becoming itself.
